4th Corner added the final touches to the new Therapies Garden at Northampton General Hospital this week. The garden will be officially opened on 14th September by Northampton Town Mayor Counsellor Gareth Eales. 4th Corner Director Amanda Ransom worked with Alison McCulloch, who leads the “Do It for Dementia Charity” at the hospital and coordinated the fundraising campaign which led to the creation of the Garden. It has been a privilege to be able to help with the creation of this garden, an area which will enable patients with dementia to spend time outside. Our plant list, which included herbs, flowering plants, ferns and shrubs, was based on the need to stimulate the senses and bring a sense of well-being.
