There are 4 Ways to build your Career with 4th Corner:
We offer apprenticeships through Moulton College, Northamptonshire and Pershore College, Worcestershire.An apprenticeship allows you to start work by combining learning at work with a programme of study, which helps to build skills and achieve nationally recognised qualifications:
• RHS Horticulture Level 2
• RHS Horticulture Level 3
4th Corner offers the support, experience and paid work needed to see all our apprentices through to the successful completion of their course. We will also offer our apprentices a full-time job on the successful completion of their course.
4th Corner “Working with Us” Training
A detailed and ongoing programme of training is provided throughout your career. This is planned and documented using our “Working with Us” schedule of training and training certificates. The training programme delivers all the skills necessary to become a competent landscaper. It is provided as an integral part of employment, taking place during paid working hours. Additional skills support is given through hands-on experience under close supervision.
In-house training is based upon three key areas:
• Horticultural Skills
• Horticultural Knowledge
• Health and Safety at Work
4th Corner External Training Providers
We regularly use recognised and respected external training providers to deliver National Training Requirements to your staff. These courses and qualifications include:
• ROLO Health and Safety Training
• First Aid at Work
• Machinery Maintenance
• Tree Surveys
Courses will usually last a day and are provided during paid work hours. External training is designed to help and support 4th Corner staff to carry out their roles confidently, safely and efficiently.
Continuous professional development through work experience
As part of the 4th Corner operational teams, our Senior Team Leaders will continue to train you in all aspects of your work. This enables continuous professional development through work experience. We will also help find work-experience placements with other local employers.
