UPHOLDING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

Accreditations

The British Association of Landscape Industries is the leading Trade Association representing all landscape professionals – from design, build and maintenance through to supply, training and education. Over 900 Accredited members represent some of the best landscaping businesses across the country, from large corporations, to local traders, to individual designers.

The Association of Professional Landscapers is a trade body affiliated to the Horticultural Trades Association, which promotes the highest level of standards within the industry. To become a member, a landscaping business must have been trading for at least two years and go through a rigorous inspection process. A Professional Gardener will have to have been trading for a minimum of 3 years, provide 4 references and undergo a full inspection of maintenance work.

Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) was launched in May 2009 to facilitate the mutual recognition of assessments between member schemes, which means contractors do not need to repeat the full assessment process with multiple health and safety assessment schemes. The scheme provides a health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites.

ISO certification serves as a badge to prove that our organisation operates to the highest standards and has the systems and processes in place to be able to maintain them. Among the requirements for ISO Certification is demonstrating that we are aware of the necessary legislation that might impact our business and that we have processes in place to achieve and maintain compliance with these regulations. The ISO9001 Quality Management System enables 4th Corner to manage Key Performance Indicator & quality data for optimum safety and performance.

We wanted to reduce waste management costs and demonstrate our commitment to protecting the environment and so we worked for ISO 14001 Certification, which we achieved in 2019. Implementing this global standard has helped our organisation comply with increasingly stringent environmental laws and regulations, as well as building trust with our customers.
