Does it cost me anything to join 4th Corner? Are there any hidden charges?
Its free to join, and there are no hidden charges.

How does 4th Corner get paid?
We only charge a fee when a successful purchase has been completed (usually on exchange of contracts) and it is usually one of the following:

We negotiate a fee directly with the developer, they pay.
We negotiate a cash-back from the developer to you, our fee comes from this.
We charge you a % of the purchase price.

The actual amount we charge depends on a number of factors unique to each property, however our fee is usually 2% of the purchase price with a min and max cap.  The nuts and bolts of each proposed investment including how & what % we are charging will be fully explained to you at the time of your interest.

Do I have to use your recommended solicitor and mortgage advisor?
No. Many investors have their own advisors and of course its fine to use them. However often we are buying within tight time constraints and it is helpful for us to work with a team that we know are experienced in these situations, but it is up to you.

Do you receive any remuneration from your advisors?
No. They are completely independent from us. They have been chosen because of their track record to do the job well.

The property market looks uncertain, why invest?
The market is going through a period of change and that's why it is very important to buy at a realistic price and to make sure it will then rent easily; this is where we help. With this in mind it's also important to recognize your investment is not short term, and all indicators suggest to us sustained growth over the medium/long term.

How do I manage a property a long way from where I live?
The letting agents we recommend can carry out most of this work for you, and we are careful to make sure they are up to the job. It is, of course, sensible for you to visit the property once or twice a year anyway.
